Fickle confidence - a column for Shotgun Life

The most elusive game for me is not a bird or a mammal or a fish - it's my confidence. Yet somehow, I can still pull out of a downward shooting spiral once in a while and make some really good shots. That little roller coaster ride is the topic of my latest column for Shotgun Life.

  1. Holly, it's great to be able to follow you here. So glad I went back to Cazadora and found the link! Although I have been a dedicated big game hunter for a number of years now, your blog really got me thinking more about all things winged. I credit you with bringing me back to my family's roots in wingshooting (my aunt was a nationally ranked trap shooter and life long bird and duck hunter and my dad, having grown up on a ranch, was also out in a blind occasionally or hunting up a few doves.)

I bought a cheap pump action 20 gauge and am looking forward to my season this fall - that is...after archery/rifle big game season is over.

Thanks for your humor, honesty, and pragmatic approach; the videos, photos, and links (esp. the links to recipes on Hank's blog) have helped tremendously.

    Ellen
