Duck hunting tips that REALLY work - a column in Shotgun LIfe

Far be it from me to lecture anyone on how best to shoot ducks. Six years into this pursuit, there are still days I can't hit the broad side of a barn.

But I have learned the foolproof ways to ruin a duck hunt, and you can read about them in my latest column in Shotgun Life.

    Holly - great article. I'll remember the beef sticks trick. Got my first upland game bird/blue grouse(ever) and snowshoe hare (ever) this weekend! I promised I would report back once the season started. Game on.

    Damn, I was at Costco yesterday and forgot to get them! Oh well, still time.

    Congrats on the grouse and the hare! May I recommend Hank's Sardinian hare recipe? It was amazing. (Though I hope he makes it again soon so I can re-shoot it. That photo is SO two years ago.
